Activities
During the course of a year the Council has several key dates on which it carries out special activities. These activities are:
Mons Day in early May,the Mayoral Installation in May, the Mayor`s Civic Service in June,and the Remembrance Parade in November.
In addition to its own activities the Council supports a number of other organisations who carry out activities of their own, including the Carnival in June, the Cycling Festival in June,the Abergavenny Eisteddfod and Art and Literature Competitions, the Children`s Festival in July, the Summer Playscheme in August, the Food Festival in September, and a number of others. This list is not comprehensive and will be added to as time goes on.
